New Year, New You?
Sorry to burst your bubble but probably not.
I am serious.
We spend a lot of time thinking about goals and we may talk to others about our goals but have you ever written them down?
This could be on paper, in a journal, on your phone or in a Google Doc.
It doesn´t matter where but you have to write down your goals.
AND ….
You have to review your goals daily.
I have my goals on a Google Doc that stays open on my computer. I also have the document printed and in a sheet protector that is in my work bag so I can review it at any time.
I take time every day reviewing and reflecting on my goals.
You can even build a vision board around your goals to give you a visual representation of your dreams. The past two years, I have laminated my vision boards and put them all over the house and on my desk at work. You can see my examples below. Some of these dreams have been realized and some are not even remotely close and that is okay. Might as well dream big because even if I ¨fail,¨ at least I went for it. I would rather dream big and miss then downplay what I truly want.
Why is writing down your goals so important?
Because it gives you clarity and direction. Most of the time we do not realize our dreams because we lack clarity and direction. We wander aimlessly and our life gets eaten by everything on your phone. If we know what we want, write it down and review it daily, we are more inspired to take action because we know what we want in life.
If you want to change your life, you have to start by writing down your goals & reviewing them daily.
Simple but powerful.
In the next newsletter, I will give you a few more tips to realizing your dreams.
